ANOTHER Mandarin Question!

Im just curious, my Mandarin is constantly picking at the live rock, Im assuming looking for food, I know I have a Million pods because my fuge is loaded and at night they are crawling everywhere in the D.T. My question is in the day I dont see any pods, Im sure they are hiding, But is he getting enough pods? Are they that keen of hunters to find them and suck them out of their hiding spots? Are mandarins Nocturnal hunters? I dont think so.. Because when I feed my display, food never gets down to him on the bottom by the time the other fish eat it all and I am worried about his eating habits. Thanks..

If you have a lot of pods visible at night, I wouldn't worry. Mandarins hunt in the day, and more pods come out at night, but they are a mandarins natural food source and the fish knows how to find them - all day long.
Congrats on having a well stocked refugium. So many others get mandarins well before they can support them.
