Another Plumbing Question

I just got my new 90gl Oceanic rr tank and I can't decide if I should use flex tubing for my drain in the overflow or if I should hard plum it with PVC. Its a 1 in drain opening and will only be going down about 1ft before it empties into my sump/fuge. I will be using flex tubing for my return(quiet one 4000) and hard plum on my closed loop(quiet one 6000 or little giant). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

If ya hard pipe it, you may want to use a "union" to facilitate maintenance on the fuge/sump. You don't want to have a hack saw under your tank tring to remove a piece of plumbing that is in the way!
I was able to leave some joints "un-glued" because of their location directly above the water of the sump/fuge. THis is a more econimcal option, and there is no pressure on the line FROM the dipsplay. HTH
