Thanks for the replys on my question about how long it takes to cycle the tank. I have 3 damsels in the tank now. On Saturday it will be a week i have had them. I am planning on buying some live Rock to help out the cycle along with the fish. Do you think after a few days of the LR being in there it is safe tto buy a clown fish?? I am very patient with this and want to do everything right !
Thanks again for all the advice :)

I would wait till your testing (you are testing aren't you?) for nitirites shows zero. The rock will help move it along but right now your tank is to new to start adding fish yet. My one test kit I really depend on for a new tank is my nitrite kit. If you don't have one any lfs will have them. Clowns altho sold by many stores as first fish are really not able to handle the cycling process well. You have the right idea of being patient don't loose that thought it is the most valuable asset in this hobby.

exactly. i wouldnt add any fish until your cycle is through. a clown fish would be a great fish to add then, but i wouldnt add it until then.

Just take your time, Becky. Everybody went through what your going through right now. I bet you find yourself visiting your LFS, just to look and plan out what to get when your tank does finally cycle. Its going to take 2 to 3 months. Try to forget about the tank for a while, and let nature take its course. Remember, no new fishes, and no water changes either.
