Is it normal for an anemone to sometimes get kinks in its tentacles. 2 tentacles on my anemone are kinked in the middle and the top half is deflated. Is this normal behavior for an anemone?

It can happen...check your pH ave and other water paramiters. It could be you simply caught it between expantion and contraction. Not sure.

Sometimes the tentacles can just go through simple wear and tear though. (ir. rocks, fish, trannsportation, etc) Which could cause distortion.

I dont know if it is "normal" or not, but my RBTA's were getting deformed (kinked) tentacles before I started to feed them. I now feed once a week and sometimes once every other week. They no longer have any deformed tentacles. I dont know for sure if this is feeding related. My water quality has remained very consistent since first introducing the one anenome. It has since split four times over about ten months time and have been kink free for about five months and doing very well. Just give them awhile and see if they straighten up.
Do you feed your anenome?... How long has it been in the tank?
