Another skimmer question :-)

I just purchased a new protein skimmer.
I can't think of the name right now, but it seems pretty good :)
I do have a few concerns though.
First off, it makes a good amount of noise...
Not enough to be disturbing to me, because the tank is in the wall, and all the filtration is on the other side...
So, I can't hear it. But it seems like the noise is coming from some type of vibration and I'm wondering if this can stress or hurt the fish?!?
My second question is bubbles. The thing dumps a million tiny tiny bubbles into one section of my tank. I personally like the way it looks, but I'm concerned about the effect on the fish.
I only left it on for about an hour because I was concerned, but I can't tell if the fish are avoiding the pump due to the bubbles or noise at all...
thanks a million in advance!!! :)

Sounds like you just need to play with it a little to get the noise down. The vibration may affect the fish, but you never know. Try putting some foam or sponge between it and the tank. The bubbles can be slowed if you put a sponge filter over the return. Also a new skimmer needs a little break in time before it will work at peak efficiancy. Good luck.
