another strange thing growing on my LR

(Note: its the off white lump in the middle with a small featherlik "tentacle" sticking out)

Looks like whats forming on my new LR, but mine has no tentacles coming out of it. I thought it could be a calcium buildup but I really cant comment due to lack of knowledge on this kind of thing.

Yes looks like q-tip sponge you will see alot in the begining then they will disipate
