Antibiotic and live rock?

My puffer has an open wound. Can I put antibiotic in the tank with live rock?

Its not a good idea. The antibiotics will kill the beneficial bacteria housed in the live rock.

I was a bit afraid of that. I can put him in the QT but was trying not to stress him anymore than he already is.
