I LOVE b/w. I try to play with it occaisionaly. Since I started with a digital, I haven't played with my 35mm in awhile and now I miss it seeing your pics. I do like the way digital can switch to b/w, sepia, etc. But not the same as 35mm.
i don't think i ever give up film. i shoot some digital and although you get instant result shooting with it, there's just something about film that keeps me shooting. i guess its the quest to perfect your skills, knowing what settings to be shooting at to get certain effects.
That is one of my favs. I was able to delete that huge one that first appeared. I didn't realize that I had to resize my scan by 50%.
I really like the bridge pic.
I love the barbed wire pic. When you photshopped the bridge, did you brush the color out. I am really wanting to try something like that but have never ventured very far.
Actually I made the entire pic b&w and then highlighted the areas of the bridge and used the history function to return them to color. It is tedious but looks cool. I can't imagine doing it to something without straight edges.
i like the barbed wire picture, too.. its amazing how something so small and usually unoticed can be so intresting when looked at from another perspective.. cool beans..
