Any drawbacks to a Harlequin Shrimp in a reef?

none i found , other than its diet..... which im sure your quite aware of.. starfish
just picked this one up

actually, no, I didn't know they feed on starfish. I just saw your pic of one and was interested. I dont have too much time to get research done at work so I thought a thread would send me on my way.
Does it only eat starfish? In other words... it won't feed off detritus like other shrimp?
Is that the only complication?

ya, only eats starfish (linkia) but ophria said something about those lil dime sized one (forgot the name) i have about 20 in my tank, ill see how that goes.. other wise its linkia for dinner

Man, see, that seems like a problem in my tank. Since it is rather large, target feeding one starfish seems difficult. What do you do, just let one loose and let the harlequin hunt it? Because, I am worried about the starfish and the harlequin never meeting in my tank... and the starfish doing damage.

I fed mine chocolate chip stars for the 3 years I had it. He knew exactly when the star hit the water and would immediately start searching for it.
