Any engineers to help get a 20 gallon under a 55 gallon stand?

I have recently purchased a 20 gallon tank to serve as my sump. However, while the 20 gallon should fit just fine, I am actually in a dellimma. My 55 gallon tank is full of fish and rock and corals, and the stand/tank is set up so that it is against a wall. Therefore I cannot put the 20 gallon in from the back and the wall keeps me from sliding the 20 gallon in from the front. This is because I have a center piece of wood in the front of the stand that is blocking a lot of space. Anyone know how in the world I can get my 20 gallon underneath my stand. Draining the tank is just not an option.

try taking your foot/hammer and removing the middle peice of wood slide tank in and use hammer to replace wood. thats what i did with my 90g.

What kind of floor is the tank sitting on? (carpet or wood)
Would you be willing to take out maybe half the water to make the tank a little lighter?
You could purchase a large container and readd the water after its done.
Get someone to help you move the tank out.

not sure what exactly you are looking for but I have a 15 gallon long tank I use as a sump on my 55, it fits, that was enough room for my skimmer and my wet/dry.

Well the tank is actually on a lanolium (sp?) floor. I guess there is the possibility of sliding the entire tank.
Has anyone removed the middle piece of wood? The back of the stand does not even have that piece, so is it really adding much support?

that page holds the key to your problem
it's going to take a tad bit of prep work but its better to spend 10$ on a couple 2x4's and screws then tear your whole tank down and put it back up or than risk breakin the whole thing by moving/sliding it
IMO
