I have been out of the city for a while but there was a good club run out of the Coney Island aquarium. You might try reaching out to them for some stores in Queens

If your out on Long Island. Country Critters in Medford have some amazing rare, rare, corals. They also have rare fish. Last I checked, 3 Hawaiaan Dragon Morays, Bandits, clarions, Tinker's, Joculars, sunset wrasse, rhomboids, pinecone fish, every color rhinopias, just to name a few. Regards, Tim

Country Critters for the hard to get stuff- expensive, Aquahut in coram for great prices on everything, and Suffolk County Reef in Ronk. a little steep on the prices but have a nice selection of frags and fish, that are healthy.

Country Critters in Patchogue is disgustingly overpriced. I wont spend a dime there.
Aqua Hut in Coram has great prices and a great selection if you get there at the right time. They usually get their shipments on Thursday or Friday nights so if you go there on Sat morning you can usually get the best selection. Talk to either Don, the owner, an older guy with gray hair or Tony, a young guy with a long brown ponytail.
Mutts and Butts in Merrick is good
Suffolk County Fish and Reef in Ronkonkoma is just OK. Been there a few times and was not at all impressed with the people they have working there.

Wow! Lots of different opinions on stores.
I live close to Pets Warehouse in Copiague. Pretty good selection. I get my RO water from there, and have bought several fish with no complaints.
CC is overpriced, but their coral selection is the best I've seen, and their 'show' tanks are worth the price of admission. Its not in Medford though, its in Patchogue.
I wouldn't buy from Mutts and Butts if my fish's life depended on it.
Same opinion as Zim on SC Reef. Their selection was odd, too. They either had 10 of a fish or nothing.
Never been to Aqua Hut. May hit them up this weekend.
Aquarium Adventure in Carle Place is on that line between good and bad. Wicked expensive, but decent selection. I wouldn't trust their staff with a goldfish though. They're the type that solve everything by selling you something, and have the 'holier than thou' attitude.
Everywhere else isn't really worth mentioning on Long Island.

Oh yeah, forgot about pets warehouse. Good selection over there and decent prices. Their staff is ok.. some guys are pretty bad other there.
