my yellow stripe marron clown is full grown. since ive had it (didnt do it at the lfs) he pushes the sand out from under the live rock to create more cave space clear to the glass bottom of my tank i have like 3 in of live sand so it takes him so time. ive rearanged my live rock to give him bigger caves 3 times any ideas will help. the guy at the store told me to hit him with my net! also is this bad for my sand?

No it's good for your sand it need to be moved around once in a while to prevent dead spots and a nitrate spike. as for fixing the clown give him a host.. xenia, anenomy even star polups and mushrooms will work sometimes.

Leaving it for a few weeks wouldn't hurt anything unless the rock sinks on it and the looks of the tank maybe. Give it a try he may just want to play. My clowns have a flower pot I bought at wallmart to play in. They seem to have fun playing ring around the pot and hide and seek in it.

I gave away my clown's BTA (the clown is about 6 yrs old) and she now does exactly what you talk about.
Yes, move the sand back, and just let her rip. I think it's good. For the sand and the fish. Moving the sand back will (
) keep her from being a terror in that area. You know, kind of take a bit of control away from her.
I won't have another anemone. The fish is fine without.
