Any of you have Wrasses?

I was thinking of getting a six line wrasse, but am worried about their compatibilty with my nassarius snails. The things dont get over half and inch - the snails, LOL. ???????

my six line wrasse is a punk, just put in a few turbo snails and a queen conch. he attacked all of them. I added some peppermint shrimp a while ago, attacked them too. Anything I put in the tank, the wrasse goes after. After a while the punk calms down and goes back to picking all the goodies out of the rock. this was our first fish and has survived numerous mishapps, don't think you can kill it.

I have two sixlines for over four years and they have NEVER bothered anything that I didnt want them too. They just search the rock for the Micro life and thats it. They hardly bother with the food I put in for the other fish.

i have a potters wrasse in my 50 gallon and he is completely passive. and absolutley beautiful.

I have a six line wrasse also that has never bothered anything, including my nassirus snails. But my hermits did kill all my snails. My wrasse is VERY passive.

I have a sixline wrasse in my 75 with all types of snails and crabs and other fish and he seems to have no problem with them i added a cleaner shrimp to the group about 2 weeks ago and had no problems at all.

I have a six-line and he would not hurt a flea. Its pretty cool how he cruises the rock.

I had a six-line in one tank and a yellow in another. They never bothered anything, but love to carpet surf. Make sure the top is covered. The yellow jumped twice and I found him in time. The third time I took the top off to feed the tank, turned my back and it jumped again. I didn't know until it was too late.

My canary wrasse yanks the Nassarius snails out of the sand sometimes, but that's about it.

Any wrasse can sometimes bother snails and such, but usually if they are well fed you won't have a problem.

I have a 6line and he definetly does not eat bristle worms like everyone says. However he is aggressive to anything new in the tank. I have had to remove several fish that he did not like. He does not attack snail shrimp or crabs in my tank. he is the only fish that I could not catch....tuff mother fu----!

my neighbors had one that was aggresive to snails, and even to fish. they said that he really went after their potters angel, and i guess killed it. they've since gotten rid of it.

I have two cleaner wrasse and they dont touch anything but other fish. they love to clean the Tang and just about everything in the tank. I also have a six line and he does not touch anything at all.

I had a 6 line that pretty much stayed to himself every once in a while I would see it poke at a snail once maybe twice but that was all it never went on an all out attack on them and it never touched any shrimp or anything but it did jump out and that's why I no longer have it.
