If you are going for a softie tank, get a yellow fiji leather, there are pink sarcophyton, many many colorful mushies, adn tons of colorful zoos. Go for a few brown items so that the colored ones stick out a lot. Many leathers will grow exponentially fast undr those lights, as will soem lps. I wouls not mix unless you can control the flow and keep the softies downstream of the stonies. Howefver, it is best adn easiest not to mix. it is hard not to though. Carnations and scleronepthas are not easy to take care of, adn are very particular in their placement and flow, especially after shipping. Go with mushrooms that will flourish adn zoos, adn sarcophytons and lobophytons. They will add the the most change, along with coloration to an always changing environment. Plus they are east to frag and trade or sell for new specimens. Kenya trees are relatively easy, as are gorgonians, and tube worms. Ifyou can get a hard tube coco worm for under a hundred bux, buy it, you wont regret it. Take care of them as they are notalwasythe best shippers. Gorgonians are primarily hardy as hell if your parameters are right and you dont expose them to air. GEt a clam or two, they have great colors, and undre the right lights are easy to take care of. Stay away from colorful nudibranchs as they are hard to keep alive for a long time unless you have their food source. Get some acan echinata if you have stonies. Get a long tentacled plate Get a bubble coral. Some white is always nice as long as its not bleached. some montipora would add good color too. As well as birdsnest adn digitata. The list is endless, buy online. Find someone from the west coast that gives you a great experience the first time, adn stick with them. New Alemeda Aquatics is great. The west coast gives you more bang for you r buck and the health is usually better too. Shipping is a bitch but well worth it.
