I'm sure if you post a picture of your cowfish that will get the pics to come in! I for one, would love to see it.

I agree. I would be really scared to keep one knowing that its poison could ruin the tank.

it would be neat to have a species only tank with different types of cowfish, but you would have to be very carefull about not killing it lol

I had one. But she is no longer with us. I woke up to this. The best I could tell is that my big hermit crab (he was in a medium conch shell) was out looking for a new home and took alittle tooo long and my Trigers got to him. So as he died; he started to release toxins. So this had horrible affects on my cowfish. She took a nose dive into some rocks. I thought she was stuck, so i got her in the net and pulled her out to safety and back she went. So I then put her the qt and she took her last breath. Stupid $5 crab killed a $40 cowfish.
She was really neat when you put your finger on the glass she would turn sideways and attach it.

Cowfish dont release the toxin when they die. Only when stressed or competing for food. Keeping more then one is a bad idea as with other kinds of fish they they dont get along all to well. It increases the chances that they will release their toxins. just a little fyi

I also have one it is so cute! He will be taken back the LFS when he gets too big but I am in the planning stages of a 180 G fish tank so I might never have to take him back
!! I love him so much he is my favorite fish ever!

I would attempt a picture of mine but I would probably fail so horribly people would laugh at me...
I obviously would be really sad if I had to take him back the the LFS but it would be for the best.... I hope, I can't help thinking he would most likely be dead or something if some one else bought him b/c I probably can provide a better home than most other people and he definitely has a better life then he did at the FS.
