Yeah, it sounds like it has the typical Hollywood formula, so I'll probably skip it unless one of my friends sees and recommends it.

at first, it looked good, somewhat like "Apocalypto" which imo was a great great movie. but then, it suddenly started to look bad. for one, the sabretooth tiger looks very very cgi fake. also, I noticed they're speaking english. I'm pretty sure english didn't exist 12,000 years ago. if you watch it, post a review here.

"Apocalypto", "Passion of the Christ", and "Pan's Labrynth" were all foreign language films, and I thought all 3 were very good. I didn't say I was illiterate and can't read subtitles, I said I don't like seeing characters from supposedly 12,000 years ago speaking a language that didn't exist at the time.

Or what's worse IMO is when they use both, English as the main language (even if they're like an ancient Viking tribe), then when they meet other's of their kind, they far back to their native language.

If you remember "The Hunt for the Red October", the actors spoke Russian, and then the dialogue naturally changed to English, very appropriate and natural. Maybe that would have worked?

The coolest example I've seen of this was in The 13th Warrior... although it was almost unbelievable that Antonio Banderas was from the Middle East...

It was believeble until he opened his mouth!!
Still, it was a great movie and they did come up with a pretty innovative way of switching all the dialogue over to English.

ok...so i went and saw 10,000BC...i really liked it...the main plot has to do with a hunter who falls in love...the egyptions pillage there camp and capture several members of their tribe to take back as slaves to work on the pyramids, including the girl that the main caracter falls in love with...he sets out on a journey to get her back...i personally really liked the movie...as for the languages, there is mostly english in the movie, but there are people speaking egyption as well...

IMO save your money. If you really want to see it wait until it comes out on DVD. I don't think it will take that long.
