i think it will look good. the story is a classic so as long as it was written right for the big screen it should be fine.
personally, i didn't see the 300 on the big screen and was a tad disappointed with it on my 50" so i may have to go to the theater for this one.

ya 300 would be best on a big screen or even a large TV. But I may get, it. I was dissapointed with 300. I was hoping for something more realistic.

I will definitely be seeing it in the theater. It looks like it is either all CG or CG over film since they are using real actors.

its coming out in IMAX and IMAX 3D. i think this is why the graphics are slightly unrealistic, because the action scenes will be in 3D, like superman.
hopefully it is done right. I read this about 10 years ago, was this the story with Grendel or Mephistopheles?

I'll see the new Beowolf. Unfortunately though, every time a movie has been based on the poem, the movie sucked to date. I have very low hopes for it, but I guess we'll see.

i will probably check it out. its been a few years since i read the epic poem, but i remember it being pretty kick butt, and the trailers look really good.

50" not big enough then LOL.
was sorta disappointed with transformers as well. don't get me wrong, both looked good on the tv, but the big screen would have been better.

Your missing the WHOLE POINT. Angelina Jolie is the babe in the movie, and she tries to seduce baywolf. YEAH BABY!

Saw it.
I guess i should have read the book in school... but honestly it was a total new experience for me, i didn't know what to expect.
the CGI reminded me of Shrek3. decent enough, but the high speed movements they didn't do very well.
the BEST part about the movie was my theater did the whole thing in 3d. THAT was great! it was like they tried a little too hard in some spots, but otherwise it looked pretty good.

Went to go see it in IMAX 3D last night. Got there at 9 for the 10 showing, sold out. Next one was 1am. No problem, there's plenty of bars around downtown Orlando. Put a few back and go back to the theater. Start the movie, silence for about 20 seconds, then the audio kicks in. They tried numerous times to get the movie synced back up, but no luck. They also would not restart the movie. So they force everyone in the theater to line up with one guy at one cash register. All they were giving back was refunds, we expected at least the refund and a free movie pass or something, we had a bit of investment into seeing the movie, the 30min drive out there and the bar time. Needless to say, we won't be headed back to the IMAX in Orlando anytime soon.
