Anybody know what this is?

I bought some rubble recently and this was in with it. It looks like it was an old coral skeleton but its not completely dead. Does anybody know what it could be? is it an algae?

why thank you. Its in my sump right now under 2 stock strip lights but it seems like its only growing. does it sting or anything? do you think i should move it to my biocube pc lights?

Looks like a bubble coral to me and I would move it into the DT for more tissue expansion.

Yup, looks like a bubble coral to me too.
strong light
low to moderate flow
it has nematocysts on long swinging tentacles, so be careful not to place it too close to other corals
Good clean water. Pretty much it. Good luck!

Bubble, low flow and mine hate strong light, I always have to keep them shaded. They like to eat as well, if you check at night it will have feeder tentacles out.

+1 Low light and they will sting neighbors.
