Anybody read "Horton hears a who"?

Well if you did, what is a plant that looks like a tree from the world of Dr. Suess? I have quite a few small ones in my tank. They are about an 1/8th of any inch tall and growing with (?) brown datiom. I had the rocks that this stuff is on in my QT tank. I tried to get a picture, but not that great a shot.
Any Ideas?

Pineapple sponges. numbers will reduce eventually. unless your feeding a lot of phytoplankton

That is good, and thanks, but I was refereeing to the small little white things around the sponge. They remind me of the seeds from a dandelion when they are pollinating.

They are so small, I can not get a good picture...

I didn't read the book but I watched the movie with my grandkids (several times). lol I will have to see if it is the movie.
