just wondernig if i can modify it to work better besideds throwing it the garbage.

I used a Lee's protein skimmer, seems to work very well for me. When I bought it, it was already slightly modified. They got rid of the suction cups, and made sure that the tube where the bubbles come up is slightly below the waters surface. Also, i run the wooden airstone in the middle at full blast. Then the side air tube just barely trickling out. I get alot of brown junk out of it everyday.
