Anyone else suffer from eczema?

I am at the end of my rope. I know that eczema is hereditary, but it seems like I got the worst of it. In the last four days, I've gotten patches of eczema from my ears, neck, arms, hands, back, chest, stomach, midsection, legs, knee caps, and feet. And it's starting to spread other places too. UGH! I can't sleep at night because I'm itching so freakin' bad.
I'm fixin' to take a chlorox bath, rinse off really well and put on some cortizone 10 cream for the itching and then use a whole tube of tripple antibiotic on the sores. But before that, I'm going to the store to pick up a couple packs of Benedryl and other anti-histamines / allergy meds so I can load up tonight and tomorrow.
I'm not sure if it was caused by my diet, by stress, or by the soap that I have recently been using. I'm going to try to do something different in all three areas in the next week or so to get rid of it. But if that's not it, WHAT IS IT? Is it God's way of saying I need to go to church more often? Sending some Pestilance and sores my way???
Can someone with some experience with this please help me get some relief?!

I would start with switching detergents. Don't eliminate too many things at once. This way you can pinpoint what is causing the issues.

With the weather change my step daughter would have bad excima issue each year. Dry skin and such. She can only use a lotion on her skin called amlactin...runs 25 dollars a bottle at walgreens...but worth it.

I only use free and clear detergents, or for sensitive skin or unscented free and clears like Arm&Hammer brand and a few other "natural" detergents. I only use eco friendly cleaners around the house, and I regularly vaccuum and change the sheets out on my bed. I wash my cloths often. I don't use regular soap, but that Dove sensitive skin soap, and USED TO I was able to use Old Spice hair and body wash, but I'm eliminating that and going with some sensitive skin hair/body wash from Nivea.
I have been doing all of my old regular things to keep it at bay, I have just had a horrible break out the last week, and nothing I do seems to get rid of it...
If someone sees something that I am doing wrong or has any kind of suggestions, please help me. I'm looking for anything I can do to get some relief.
I just took 3 benedryl (off brand) and lubed up with some cortizone 10 and some eczema moisterizer, (thanks Darth) but wherever I didn't put it, like on my cheeks and eyes - it's still ITCHING.

Oh yeah, the weather change has a lot to do with it too... but the weather around me hasn't changed all that much,... least not enough to make me break out this bad. Usually it weather related it happens around Thanksgiving through Christmas... but it's much too soon for that.

Dood, 3 of us at work are having problems. I thought it was stress, as the weather isn't too different yet.
I use a steroid cream and it's gone in the morning. I had a big ole tube of it and I used it everyday for something like 5 years. I just have a small patch and this tube was king size. After that time, I found out it's suppose to be a short term treatment. Oops. My skin was beautiful. LOL. I use it intermittently now and it's gone very quickly.

Yeah, I used to have a tube of steroid cream, and then I know fluoxinonide will definitely take care of it, but I hate having to pay $200 for a doctors visit and some cream. UGH!!! I'm using cortizone 10 right now and switching my soap around and some antibiotic cream and some Echinacea moisturizer or somethin like that. It has some kind of anti-itch medicine in it, plus it moisturizes. I'm pretty sure it was the body soap I was using. If it doesn't start to go away in a week, then it was something else.
At least yours is in just one spot... mine breaks out everywhere, indescriminately. UGH!!!!!

My son Ethan gets it now and then. It was pretty bad when he first came home, but lately he only gets it in the inside of his elbow and his ear.

Yes, fluoxinonide is the stuff I use. It was rubbed off the tube so I couldn't see the spelling.
This would drive me nuts if it were all over.... that sucks. Sorry.
