Anyone ever dive in Florida?

What's up all...
I'm going to Florida in a week and it's been awhile since I've been diving so I'm going to book one. I'll be staying around the Fort Lauderdale area so I've been looking for options within a reasonable distance. I've heard that Jupiter is pretty good, and that lemon sharks tend to be there during the winter. I've also read a bit about Hammerhead Reef in Lauderdale but am having trouble finding a dive shop that has it on their schedule.
Anyone know about either of these areas or have any other suggestions?

I dove Pennecamp off Key Largo about 15 years ago. It was pretty cool then but I have no idea what kind of shape it's in these days

I heard that it used to be better than it is now. Just talked to someone who went last week and she said there wasn't that much life there...

Jupiter is a great place to dive. I used to live in Stuart (not too far from lauderdale.) check out my friends dove site. http://www.scubafortlauderdale.com/diving.htm
Opportunity is often missed because its dressed in coveralls and looks like work

That's really too bad. It was a really nice site when I went

Well the gulf side is still recovering from the spill as far as the rebuild. This will take decades.
But the other side of Florida isn't as great for diving. Because the water is just a little too rough. It's for a more experienced diver because of this.
The further south the better imo
