I live near columbus Indiana. I agree there are no good pet stores in this area or in Indanpolis ethier I drive to lousville Ky. for my coral purchases. I know that dose not help out since new castle is futher north east than i am. Have you checked out the cinniata area. I went to one there up by kings Island. they had nice looking store and stuff but thought there prices where a little steep.Sorry I can't help you out But wanted to let you know you are not alone.

unclebill is a very nice place(espeically the bit of remodeling done on the east side), but overpriced in my opinion...i am in anderson, also without a decent petstore...but there are a couple of places that i enjoy in Indy, although its a pain to get to...hmm.....am i being illegal for telling stores? i shall edit if i am....but premium aquatics, which is in indy is very awesome, but has very restricted hours(sat 12-3) unless by apt....also there is abyss systems...they have some nice things, havent been there in a while.....I think premium aquatics has the best prices that i've seen around this area. Otherwise I think i've gotten most of my corals from online.

oh, there is a place in Muncie called G&M Pet and Garden Center...they are a bit dirty inside, but there were some good prices on some corals, i even got a 3 free zoo polyps, haha

I have found the uncle bills in greenwood to have a bad ich investation. everything they have looked sick the last time I was in there. I did just go to prem sat they where so crowed 2 hours befor they would get to me I left did not see anything I would want anyway. I dtoped in at the east side unclebills and they have moved there corals out of the fish room but where not priced verry well. It looked like maybe they have tried to clean up there system to get read of there ich problem there may be hope for them. as for abyss that store is for the rich folk way over priced imo.

I use to live in Indiana a few years back and there was a pretty decent lfs in Marion, IN. Use to get healthy fish there. Just my 2 cents. Good Luck.

yea, premium is gonna always be crowded when you only have 3 hours of public business time...but i never thought it was too bad...its always possible to go other days, you just have to let em know and what not.
well, havent been to abyss in a long time, i didnt think prices were that bad, could easily be wrong though...
why don't we indianans get together and start up a fish store?

when I was younger 29 years ago i worked at fin and fur on meridian street by perry meridian schools but we did not have salt water just fresh but man did he give great warinty like 30 days of course you went down in % as time went buy. He kept a good clean store. It is no longer in bus. Like so many other ones on the south side. the one that use to be in southern plaza. The one down on 135 where qutar works is now. I could go on all the good ones are gone. The pet warehouse by wallmart on south us 31 is not to bad but they have a small selction of corals. Back when it got started it was much beter then wallmart expaned and it moved over a little and is not as good as it was.

Isnt that how uncle bills is? their return policy is like 30days, but right off the bat you only get 50% i think..

I dont think Uncle Bills has a return policy? Im from indiana, down around Bloomington and there is NOTHING here. ive gotten stuff from South bend and Uncle Bills, matter of fact im going to call them right now and see because i lost one of my fish the other day so ill see about the policy!

yea, the 30 day i was referring to was to the freshwater....
oh, and by the way...if any of you ever want to split an order from here, i'd most likely be happy to if they get things in. Just let me know...itd cut down on our crappy buys from places we dont like.

well, not sure, how far are you from Indianapolis? I'm about 30-45min from there....so maybe what, 1.5 or so from you? wouldnt be bad to meet up in Indy considering thats where most, if any lfs, are now.

I live in Lafayette, Indiana (about an hour north of Indy on 65) and there is a good LFS here called Aquarium World. They've been really helpful to me, as I'm just starting out, and haven't tried to sell me a bunch of stuff. They urged me to take it slow and have a really good selection of fish and inverts. I'm probably going to Indy soon just to see what they've got. What stores are the best?

i live in martinsville (inbetween bloomington and indy) and i got to uncle bills sometimes in greenwood, its decent imo, then i actually go to ***** in bloomington (cheap clowns... best ***** i've ever been too also), but if you can search up Inland Aquatics in Terre Haute, its teh best place probably in indiana, thats where everything except my fish are from, and its fantastic. Everything is a LITTLE bit more becuz everything they have is tank-rasied i believe, but they have the biggest reef system in America, everything is awesome there, try to get back in the back if possible, they should let u back there but u need someone to escort u, its well worht the trip (im an hour or so away)
