I bought one the other day and for the first 3 days he was all over my tank, searching the rock for pods. I have some pods and algae on order, it should be here tomorrow. The last two days, he stayed half buried in the sand. The only reason he moved today is because I did a waterchange and chased him out of his spot. Is this normal for them to stay buried? When I saw him at the LFS, he was scooting all over their tank. He was like that for the first 3 days in my tank but not now. Hopefully the pods will be here tomorrow and he will go after them.
