Anyone Have one of These?

Hhhm.. ok, maybe I'd better repost this question here, as it pertains to a nano tank...
12 gallon, to be precise. I've been cycled for a bit now, and I've got a good cleanup crew going. I'd like to add corals in 2 weeks, and then think about adding fish in the months following.
I like the idea of a pair of percs, but EVERYONE has percs.... I was hoping to find a bright and colorful alternative, and I came accross this little guy; The Citrinus Goby (Goboidon Citrinus).
Anyone have one of these in their nano? Any comments about personality, feeding techniques, habitat preferences, longevity...anything at all?? :needhelp:
I've been researching them up the wazoo, but I'd like to hear from pple w/ personal experience.
Thanx! :jumping:
I'm including a pic to help identify the little guy I'm talking about.

Thanx Nano - yah, I've heard that keeping them is very similar to keeping clown gobies.
Anyone with a clown goby? How do u like it? :notsure:

I used to have one in a 55 reef I had years ago and he was great. Kind of got lost in a 55 though. In a 12 he would be great. Mine accepted any food I put in the tank

You are acting like this is a different fish than a clown goby.. really its a clown goby with pretty blue lines on its face... that is all. Citrinus Clown Goby.
They'll behave exactly like any other clown goby. Perching on rocks/corals and they love cyclop-eeze (powder) and brine shrimp.
As far as my clown goby... its become one of my favorite fish in a short amount of time.. I paid 5.99 for the one I have and it doesnt really do anything more than sit on my fox coral or my hairy mushrooms... but thats enough :p he is a fun fish to watch... and would look WONDERFUL in a nano.

Thank u speg, dear, I know how similar they are to clown gobies - but each variety has its own little quirks, wouldn't u say?

Thanx for the info on your little guy, though....What color did you get? Got any pix?
I'm still really thinking about getting one. I'll have to see about him after I get my coral frags in the next week or so. I'd like to have something in there for him to perch on when he gets here!

Mine is a yellow clown goby, no pics as of yet. My girlfriend wont recharge her cameras battery :)
If you dont get a clown goby.. you're only hurting yourself.

IMO -Their great little fish they do tend to be jumpy. I had one in my 55, It would end up in the overflow allot, and I found it behind the tank on the floor once. Luckily both times I did notice before it was to late.

Somehow I gotta stop fish from ending up in the overflow.

Mimzy,
I have a 12 gal tank been up for 8 weeks. Getting ready to add a cleaning crew. What do you have and is it working well?
