anyone have tendonitis

wtf already i was working two weeks ago .my shoulders were sore for a few day now since then i have a nasty pain from my traps to the bottom of my delt.feels like someone punched me in the arn with their knuckle.i cant sleep since its constant.i went to the docs a week ago .they gave me steroids,an anti inflammatory and hydrocodone. still didnt help me sleep even with 6 beers to the pain pills.went back today .they upped the strenght of the hydrocodonr ,gave me a different stronger anti inflammatory and a crazy narcotic to take before bed.anyone else ever have this?they scheduled me for an mri in two weeks .if it goes away they will cancel the mri.
this is just annoying already.i just took the two pain pills an hour ago and i am on my second beer .lets see if i wake up before noon tomorrow.

well, depending on what you do for a living, you might have torn a muscle. Those things suck and are very painful and only heal with rest. The hydrocodone #5 is weak and the #7 is the stronger one. When I have bad pain, I take 2 #5's or 1 #7 and that usually does the trick. I am suprised that the alcohol hasnt made the effects of the hydrocodone work better. Might want to check the lable on the narcotic before bed. Alcohol + narcotics = bad news sometimes.
I want to make the striptease reference to tendanitis, but I dont think I can.

no its not a muscle i can feel something like a rope in my delt when i tilt my head.i pour concrete for a living and stamp it.i own the company so i dont have the luxury of disability.they are #7's now .i ahd 3 beers so i figure this stuff should kick in soon.

My husband had a torn rotator cuff. He had to have surgery to fix it. His complaint sounded like yours. Only an MRI will tell you what the problem is and no pain killer will work enough. If it were just a pulled muscle the meds the doctors gave you would work.

You must mot mix alcohol and narcotics, that’s very dangerous. Try supporting your arm and wet heat (hot towels) and rest until you find out more. Hang in there, I hope you get well soon.

Deejeff hate to tell you this that is what my shoulder felt like befoer I had it fixed. My shoulder was royally screwed up it is common for people to compensate for a damaged joint and do more damage to another part of the body. By the time I got my arm fixed it was beyond Screwed up.

i scheduled a mri.but it takes 2-3 weeks to get the ins. go ahead.i dont have any problems with movement .the pill worked great this morning for about 6 hours .barely felt it .but now i just got home and its painfull again.my thumb keeps going numb .it goes down my arm .i have pinched nerves before and it feels the same but who knows.the docs seem to think its a nerve or tendonitis.if it dont go away i will go to the mri.this getting old stuff sucks.

I had the knot in my muscle when I moved it also. We all have read and I lived thru what was needed to repair that little Problem so far. Just giving you fair warning the Shoulder has more ligamnets and Tendons than muscles in it that you think. Heck I thought my bones were fine yet I ended up with a pin in the Humorus for the head of it in the shoulder socket.

funny i got home ,took a pll a half hour ago and i barely feel it now.the thing is i can feel a long rope like thing in there when i tilt my head .so i figure its a tendon .just have to suck it up for now.luckily my doctor isnt affraid to write scrips.no way i can have surgury till next november.my construction work is getting busy.

That's funny cuz I just got diagnoseed with tendonitis and bursitis..try asking for a cortisone shot..I'm trying one tomorrow..heard they can either do little to nothing or be a miracle for years..worth a try

i had bursitis in my elbow.fricken golf ball there.took over two months to go away.but it didnt hurt at all.

Being that Hydrocodone is acetominaphen, you should be ok to take some advil (ibuprofin) to assist with the pain and inflamation. I was double teaming the pain from a busted tooth with the hydro #7 and a pair of advil in order to sleep at night for a while.

YOU definitely can take hydrocodone with ibuprofen. We were in a car accident Sunday night (got rear ended by a cab in NYC) and have both been perscribed hydrocodone with ibuprofen 800mg. You should be taking both. The hydrocodone is really meant to be a muscle relaxer/pain killer and the ibuprofen is meant to help with swelling since it's an anti-inflamatory.

And for the record, stop getting sick and hurt. I feel like every time you get sick or hurt so do I! Keep it to yourself! LOL

actually seems like the mono is gone now hopefully for good.i have the hydro and another bedtime pain pill which as you can see i am still up so ? and a powerfull anti inflamatory.on them for two days and aint working .might need to go get a shot of some sort in there next.

I hear you. I took Percaset, Ibuprofen 800mg, Flexiril and a Lidoderm patch and I still feel it all... Hubby was given ****** and something else and he's literally drooling on the pillow.
