anyone have the samsung sch-u740 for verizon?

i really want this phone!!! im getting a new one this weekend and i was checkin this one out. i was just wondering if you can get on AIM messenger with it. because i use it A LOT on the phone i have, and the qwerty keyboard would make this a lot easier.
edit// ok by taking a closer look at the picture i attached (top righthand corner and middle) i am thinking you can use AIM on this phone.

would still like any imput you may have about this phone. pros / cons, etc.

My Fiance has one, she loves it. I think you can have aim on it if you get v-cast (Internet), but I am not sure. She likes the full keyboard, and its pretty spiffy when you can open it both ways. The only thing I don't like about it is that the keys seem jumbled with the numbers and letters on it. Besides that its a good phone in my opinon

my friend brooke has one, its an awesome phone, but im gonna wait a few years before i think about getting one, just so they can get all the little problems worked out.

its a pretty good phone well worth getting it now...the pros def outway the cons by far..and then some, wroks for me in the city.

On to the original question, I had the Samsung I-760 for 2 weeks and it was a piece of junk. After spending hours setting it up, it froze up on me a couple of times and I had to start over. I just traded it in for a blackberry and couldn't be happier.

I was a cynical phone salesman, now I'm just a cynical former phone salesman. I played with one the other day. it seemed all right, but They have used that design of phone, and well, it didn't last long, I don't think this one will either. you can get loads of phone info on phonescoop.com. (it doesn't have anything to do with fish so It should be safe) Most of the time, you can download a aim messenger on the phone.

did you see the lg voyager for verizon? the whole front is touch screen and then it opens up to a qwerty keyboard... very cool! I'm getting it next month.

Samsung phones arent great. Ive had a few and they always die on me in a year. The u740's buttons for the keypad are too small. Pain in the ass for texting. Id go with an LG phone. I have the LG ENV and its a solid phone with a good keypad for texting and the camera takes great pictures. IMHO wait a few more months for the new LG Voyager prices to drop and go for that. or you could wait for Verizon to get the iPhone. From what i hear it could be summer of 08. Stay away from Motorola phones also. They are the absolute worst.

well i have had the phone for about a month now and it is wonderful.

i saw that phone a couple of weeks ago and have been wanting one (lg voyager)
