you hear about the riots in totenham do you know what got the fricking thing started a police officer shot a police officer(or corrupt pigs as I like to call them) and then a man was being followed by police he rung his girlfriend up told to get dinner on the go and he might be a bit light also he was a bit concerned as loads of pigs were following him then suddenly the pigs (^$**!"^ idiots) got him on the floor and shot him as apparently he shot a pig but no the pig shot a pig and he was accused of it and he got killed for something he didn't do then a week after a the guy who had been killeds daughter knocked no the door of the pig station in what was ment to be a peaceful protest and demanded answers (don't blame her) and the pigs came out almost literally beat the life out of her with batons and because of that riots started and then gangs were like hey this is a chance to go raid places and they went all over england fortunately they did'nt come to my town and the pigs say it was all mindless violence the nerve of the twats

Many people here are retired police officers. I think just made a lot less friends.

P.s. riots are mindless violence.
Ok that is out of the way. I have several friends in England. Talked with many of them on this. One of them saw a young boy beaten and left in the street. Two guys came up to him and appearred to be helping him...instead, they robbed him. Yes it is mindless. And stupid. And sad. And so on.

yea buts that not the point the point is the roots it started from sucks really also wars are also mindless violence the only diffrence is the government want it to and people are given a gun and trained (trained to riot in other words)

When looking to make a point it's probably a good idea to do so using semi adult vernacular. I got through the first couple lines and quit reading. You're remarks make it obvious you hate cops so why would any reasonable person place any credibility in what you had to say?
By the way, I am not a cop, none of my friends are cops, my ex brother in law is a cop who also happens to be a dick so it isn't like I am a cheerleader for them.

In many cases riots are not caused by brainless mobs, but people who feel helpless and vulnerable to begin with. Then you get the agitators(usually anarchists with nothing better to do because most of them are trust fund babies who like to cry about being poor and alienated to get support) mixed in those who try to steer the mobs toward violence and group think takes over and people do stuff they normally wouldn't. It very well may be bad cops who caused this, I'm sure a court will decide. But I will not smear all cops as "pigs" because most cops are men and women who really do care about their community and neighbors-that's why they chose to serve and make a difference. Now this is the touchy part(I have 3 sisters and 2 brother-in-laws who are officers so be gentle): I also am aware that because police feel like it's them against the world they band together(smart). However, when a "brother cop" does something bad, that sense of loyalty leads too many good cops to cover for the bad cops or look the other way. In a small police state that England has become, that loyalty and brotherhood is turning into a straight jacket that normal citizens are becoming entirely sick of and criminals are using to rile the general populous.

if you think the court will sort then you're right if you think that that are going to prosecute any officer or something then dead bloody wrong and also it makes it clear that you know nothing about our government they always do everything in favour of either themselves the police or the upper classes
also heres another thing that gets on my flaming nerves the funding for youthes and that is going to foreigners who come into england and apply for it the funding has been reduced by £700,000

No argument here on that. The blue wall is alive and well here in the states, as well. You folks are screwed in that the government there is flooding your country with welfare dependent Middle East and North African immigrants who bleed your welfare system dry while screaming "Death to the great satan England and America" in Trafalgar Square.

Don't know about England but Denver has been doing a bang up job of dumping and prosecuting bad cops which they seem to have more than their fair share of.

Keep in mind that Grouper comes from England. He may have reason to feel the way he does. I really have no idea about it, so I'm hesitant to comment.
I did hear an English commentator on a radio talk show point out this week when commending about what is happening in London how different England is compared to the the freedoms and rights Americans enjoy (as in our right to defend one's self and property, loved ones). Which your average English citizen have no safety in doing that for one's self.
I can only image how scary it is for a family who just wants to live in peace have to fear while these riots are going on and you have no way to defend yourself. If the police are corrupt, or don't care about letting whole neighbors go to chaos (as I have heard some about) then I might have some hateful fears and feelings as well.

if I didn't know better I'd say we have the most corrupt police in the world although there is one way to defend yourself from the politicans in england-the ipod trust you see ipod went to the english government and sealed a contract and the contract is on every politician in england even the queen and its attached to the ipod trust and basically it says we have a right to know these questions (so any questions you want basically) and if they dont answer you have a right to take anything you want from the government so you take all the governments money or anything plus if you own an ipod trust the law can't touch you

Even assuming the cops are all crooks it doesn't come close to excusing the actions of the idiots burning and looting.

Maybe if you stopped killing spiders, your pig would learn a few things.

So I think we can glean a couple things from this:
1) The criminals still have guns in England even though they are banned-proving the adage "ban guns and only criminals will have guns".
2) Bionics assertion that guns would have made things worse is wrong (as usual) as the only unarmed people were cops and law abiding citizens.
3) The British government sure likes to cover up how much gun crime there is in England.
