Anyone heard of Pondlife UV Sterilizers??

The packaging and product look nearly identical to the Coralife Turbo Twist. Does anyone know the difference? Has anyone had an experience with one? Does anyone know if a Pondlife can be used in a saltwater marine tank?
Any information is greatly appreciated.

They are nearly certainly the same UV unit in a different box.
They are probably just about as useful in a saltwater tank too... not very.

I've been told the Coralife Turbo Twists are some of the best to get for a person like me-- 40g reef with no sump. You seem to not have much faith in them!

I have no problems with coralife units, nor do I think that the unit is a poor choice (within the realm of UV units) for your type of tank.
As far as faith goes... when I started out in saltwater, I "concluded" that they were a miracle cure. I actually own at least 4 UV units... one Lifegard 40w, two Lifegard 25w, and one Coralife 18w or 20w, but they are all in the storage closet.
The position I have developed over a years of using them is that any benefit that they provide does not justify the expense of purchase or maintainance. The lamps are freaky expensive and have to be replaced frequently... twice a year or so, and the quartz sleeve inside also needs periodic replacement. They don't really do much for you IMO. Good husbandry and stocking practices can do ten times what a UV unit can, and these things are free. The other thing is that most people don't hook them up properly. They need very low flow... about 5gph per watt. Most people (me included at first), plumb them into a canister or return line which is way too much flow, causing them to do nothing but heat the water and cost money.
Now then, I also feel that expense aside, they don't do much "harm." I'm not a believer in the idea that they kill beneficial bacteria in significant quantities, so if you want to use one, I doubt it'll hurt anything. However, if you want a gadget for your tank and have money for a UV unit, consider a calcium reactor or an upgraded skimmer instead. In these two cases, you'll get a whole lot more usefulness for your money.
I do recommend them wholeheartedly for quarantine tanks.

The reason I wanted one is to help clear a huge outbreak of ich in the main tank. My plan is to move all the fish to a medicated QT and keep them out of the main reef for a month or so. An 18w UV with about 70 gph of flow (which is possible via a mini pump I found) would probably be icing on the cake.

True, but if you leave the tank completely devoid of fish for a further two weeks or so (6 weeks total), that should take care of the ich even without a UV unit.
Keep in mind that ich can only be killed by a UV unit during one stage of it's four stage life cycle, and they need to be picked up and passed through the UV unit... the chances of getting them all in the course of one 4 week period is about zero.
If it makes you feel better, go for it, but having the system devoid of fish is going to be the part of your plan that does it. Even if you use a UV unit and the ich vanishes, it will probably be from the lack of fish.
