I recently ordered some aquacultured true perculas.
after going through all the necessary precautions and acclimation procedures and releasing them into the tank, i realized they didn't look like true perculas at all. Their middle stripe didn't go all around their body but instead ended about half way to form a nice rounded end on the right and left side. I did some research and found them to be something called a teardrop clownfish. It was pretty good luck considering the true percs which is what i paid for were 15 a piece and these were being charged at 45 a piece *hehe.
anyone have any experience with these though?
they have a slightly different head than percs too
edit: here's a pic

I have never heard of a tear drop clown. I breed clowns and they look like a misbar to me. If they are True perculas and they are less than 1 yr old they tripe may form or it may not. $15.00 is pretty cheap and you did good on price no matter what they are.
