Anyone know how to get rid of a skunk?

I've talked to her about the subject, and she just smiles and says that they are her pets. Once they go feral, you can't do much with them. The city just tells me to trap them, and have them spayed and neutered AT MY EXPENSE, then put them back into their original environment. Sooner or later they cull themselves out or move to different territories.
High powered pellet gun while they are still in the cage. Sorry, cats don't belong in the wild in high concentrations. One thing about the city I live in now is the leash law applies to cats. Gotta love that

Another nice law they passed in Missoula MT while I lived there. If you fed any cat you were legally responsible for the animal including having it fixed and having shots or whatever.

Here in Cochise County you can kill (but not by poisoning) feral cats. We have the widest variety of birds in North America and the feral cats have started to devastate the populations. A good thing is the coyotes get most cats, but everytime a new neighbor moves in they let Tinkles or Fluffy out and they start to predate the birds. We too have many seniors who feed the outdoor cats and attract skunks. But if we turn them in to animal control they are fined after 1 warning. Skunks avoid dogs so most outdoor dog food is left alone. The fellow who suggested wolf or coyote urine is actually right. You have to spray it every week and it stinks to high heaven, but it will keep skunks and cats away.

Where my brother lives they had the same problem, no pound. A friend of his had a room mate who was feeding stray cats. They ended up trapping and dispatching a large number of cats it got so ridiculous. People think it's OK to take their unwanted pets out to the country, mostly cats but some dogs too, and set them free.

What if I live in the woods and don't want your unwanted cats wiping out the indigenous species I moved there to see? One person's forest is another's back yard

LOL...one good thing about having NO neighbors and living in the country....if we don't want it around WE SHOOT IT

ALTHO...that does not work with cats or dogs....I have taken cats & dogs in, had them spayed, and found them homes.....I am very grateful that we don't get very many though

We had skunks hanging around at work, they love popcorn...make a line away from your shed to nice better spot and keep dumping the pop corn where you want his/her new home, that's what my boss did and now all of us are happy. Cat food works too.

I took some LR out of one of my nanos last week and just stashed it between a couple flower pots under my deck because I was not sure if I should pitch it or maybe give it to someone else I know with a much larger tank. Well, now I can add LR to the list of things that skunks seem to like to eat or at least lick, I guess it was probably the salt on it.
