Anyone know why they do this?

This guy has been cruising back and forth across the front with his shell literally clanking the glass. He does this now and then..why??

Maybe the wrong place, sorry?

Mine do that too every once in a while - I hear the clanking across the room and go look, sometimes it's one on the glass and sometimes it's two bickering over a shell

Mine also does that. Don't know why.
