anyone use those Filter like socks?

I was in the fish store and the salesman mention
useing these socks to filter out dirt ect and it polishes the water.
I see then in all of there sumps of all sizes.
any opinion.

I used them in my sump. I liked them. Just be sure and put it somewhere it is easy to change. When they get dirty, they fill up wit water and when you change them, you have to empty the water.

What are they called I don't know what your talking about.

They are filter bags. Usually 50-100 micron.

The only name I've heard them called by is "Aqua Sock"...May be the name brand though...
