Anyone Useing New Product " Seawater "

:notsure: THERE SEEMS TO BE TWO BRANDS ON THE MARKET
THAT I KNOW OF: CATALINA OCEAN PURE WATER 5 GAL JUGS
OTHER ONE NUTRI - SEA WATER2.2GAL AND FIVE.
ARE ANY OF YOU GUYS USEING IT INSTEAD OF INSTANT OCEAN ECT BRANDS. ***** HAS IT ON SALE FOR 9.99(5 GAL)
BOTH BRANDS ARE KNOCKING THE POWDER FORMS OF SEA SALT WHICH WE CURRENTLY BUY.
I HAVE READ THAT THE NATURAL SEA SALT WATER IS RUN THRU UV , SAND FILTERS , CHARCOAL. BUT THEY SAY THE SALINITY IS VERY STEADY COMPARED TO POWDER FORMS.
WELL I THINK THIS THREAD SHOULD GO A LONG WAY WITH ALL
YOU CHEMIST AND REEF MASTERS.

i see it as a good thing and a bad thing.... good being that its convenient, good for a small nano tank..
bad.. no telling whats in the water(polutants, diease)
bad.. costs alot more over time im sure.. but i havent done the math
bad.. it only come in up to 5 gallons..if you have a large tank you would need alot for just one water change
and finally bad.. i dont think there anyway to garentee its been through the filters they say it has...
this is only my opinopn though. not fact

i would like to try it, i put a sea shell in my tank once strait from the beach and everything in my tank went wild over a litte sea shell so i am guessing the actual water will do wonders!

I have used it... can't say i noticed any difference from making my own.
