Anyone want to Frag me a coral for free? i got nothing to trade

hi
i know this might sound weird but i was wondering if anyone out there would be willing to frag me a coral (softies,shrooms,zoos) for free? (ill pay shipping) the reason being i have like nothing to trade for , my tank is new and need something to start off my reef so then i will have something to trade for....

just going to let you know most people will not give stuff out for free and if they do its because its not doing that great. They best thing to do is look around at LFS for smaller peices or corals or look online for frags lots of places otu there good luck.

Actually doesn't sound weird... it sounds like you're cheap. I just bought a zoo frag from my LFS for $10

if you dont have anythign to trade, at least offer some money...... most people here, like you, are not super wealthy, and usualy dont want to spend 50 bucks on a coral and then give a 10-15 dollar frag for free.

i would offer money but i thought it was against the "rules" to buy corals from other members?!~

not at all..... that is what the trading and classified section is for. it is illegal to give other members competetor's sites, but not sell stuff of your own.

Treybom, you are correct. Out of respect to this website it is against policy to pay for frags.

REALY?!!!!!! i see it happen sooooo much....... and i dont remember reading anything about it
but yes..... frags from your local fish store, or even online are pretty cheep.

You see it happen so much.. but its only because the moderators couldnt catch the post(s). Shouldnt be selling any sort of livestock on this site. You can sell hardware though in the classified section.

You must not spend much time in this forum because it is constantly being addressed... please report any posts selling or buying corals and they will be taken care of.

oh trust me...... i spend a heck of a lot of time on this forum..... too much actualy..... i guess i jsut dont spend enough in the classified or the trading section.

:help: = Try looking locally for someone who has a tank. They may be willing to part with something without you having to pay for shipping from someone else. It may be your best bet. Do you have a local club in your area?

to every one else.... so when i go to my lfs and see the corals there i dont have to buy that ? i can just ask for a frag at a lot lower price? << sorry the ? might sound stupid but im new to the reef thing(not swf though) cuz i just got good lights a couple weeks ago'

some LFSs will do that. mine does not. Your best bet is to wait until they have small frags. ive gotten zoo, mushrooms, and a small finger leather frag for 5 bucks. You can order online, but the shipping is a lot. See if your LFS will order very small frags for you.
