I feed mine liquid phytoplankton directly into their shells from a straw, about 2 strawfulls per 50 gallons of water. This keeps them very healthy but it also stains the inside of my glass with green dots. Brine shrimp are supposed to help (live that is).

I have had my flame scallop for about 6 months now. If you supplement the tank with DT's phytoplankton, they will do the rest. Mine moves all around the tank to find the right place to foot down. HTH

I do'nt feed anything extra i use sone live rock and sponge food every now and then, frozen brine. At one time i thought it was going to die due to "tank under constuction" but now it looks very healthy with beard showing nicely i could'nt tell you what makes it look so good but i'm doing something right.

They dont have any special lighthing requirements, but they like to hide under and behind rocks. Removing them and repeatedly replacing them up front to view them easier just stresses them out. I had one die, and over 24 hours they just deflate and shrivel up.
