i have a 20 high nano and ive just begun to finally 'reef it up'! Im working on my first zoo rock and am pleased with my results so far...now for them to spread! there are some pictures (not exciting ones) in the nano section in a thread i started called the start of my 20 reef or something to that effect. But there is more in it now, so i will try and post pictures this weekend! I got some green star polips, the 3 new zoo frags, a bubble coral frag, and i split my xenia colony as well, and i discovered like 10 baby serpant stars in a clump of chaeto i got for free at the fish store!! they are very cute. What do you have for a tank?

I also have a 20 gal high nano tank, that is just fish with live rock, no corals, (yet) However I am in the process of cycleing a new 56 gal reef! I am so excited, I have the live rock on the way, ups. It is So expensive where I am here in Maine its 9 a pound. I have the correct lighting for corals on this one, not on my nano though. I will go see if I can find your pics. I havent taken any of mine.

the cheapest i havae found around here is $8/lb but it's in a petstore that often has problems/ich in the tank. It is $9 at the other stores within an hour of here. thats a lot of lr you must be getting! have you looked into making some of it yourself to cut a bit of the cost? Hey, if we keep this conversation up, maybe someone will chime in who is selling in ME!

you just need cement and oyster shells/crushed coral. you mix up a batch and make a mold using playsand in a big container. if you do a search you will find lots of info on amounts etc. then yhou have to 'cure' it in water for like a month while changing the water. someone said that they put theirs in the back of their toilet because the water is constantly changing over!! this gets the chemicals in the cement to leach out so it is safe in your tank. i want to try making it, but since i only have a 20 its not worth it...itd be cheaper for me to just buy another 2 rocks or so.
