Apex power strip getting hot?

I've never owned one of these little controllers, but I'm not sure if the outlet thing is supposed to get really hot? The ONLY thing plugged into it is my lights?
It's very, very warm to the touch. Not so hot that I couldn't hold it, but hot enough for me to make this thread. Does anyone elses unit run hot?

Doesn't sound right Seth. Power strips shouldn't get that hot period.
Something about those apex energy bars I've heard can act funny with low wattage equipment. The various plugs serve different functions. Could try moving the cords around to different plug ins and see if that helps. I've read about guys having to send theirs in for servicing.
I'd put in a call to the manufacturer.

Have you posted on the actual Apex forum on Neptune's website? Might give you some insight as well. They should have a little heat but relatively cool IMHO.

They said it is normal operation temps.
The only thing plugged into it right now is the temp probe. Lol. I am rewiring my stuff soon. I have to get a new heater too. I really want to get my apex to have the wireless adapter and the pH monitor before i leave for macna.
I dunno what the deal is but even with just the temp probe on it is warm to the touch.
