Anybody seen this yet? I saw it today and thought it was fantastic. very violent and gory in parts, but also very touching and sad in other parts. Mel Gibson may be a fiend when he starts drinking, but he can still make a good movie. this is his best, imo. better than "Passion of the Christ" (and more violent as well).
basically, if you haven't heard much about it......a Mayan village is captured for use as slaves and human sacrifice. the main character must try to get back to his wife and son who he has hidden and stranded in an underground cave they can't get out of unless he comes back for them. it's basically a fictitional story set to a historical backdrop, but it's good. if you like history, you should love it. it shows human sacrifice in detail. and also shows how jaguars eat people alive in detail.
