Well i am going to discuss the New features from Apple.
The Macbook Air - IMO waste of money. First off it is not the world's thinnest (.76 inches thick, there is a .75 inch thick Sony, on the edges of the computer it slims down to .16 but does that mean any cumputer company can stick some aluminum foil on the edges of their computer and call it worlds thinnest?) Second it doesnt have CD drive (you have to wirelessly connect to another computer that has to be on to use a CD, so if you dont have either another computer or wifi you have to pay another 100 to get the CD drive). For 200 less than the Pro, it has way less performance specs and a tiny screen. The only thing i like about it is the touchpad, and how you can use different actions with your fingers to do different things on screen. Check out the guided tour on Apple.com.
iPhone Apps on iTouch- I own an iTouch and hacked it and have had those apps on it for free for a few months now, which a 6th grader could do. Now they are selling them 20 bucks for the 5 apps. Some people did buy them, and are going online and giving out the files for free. People that did buy/install the package found they didn't work and have to go thru a nice complex process to get them to work. If you want to buy wait a while, no doubt the price will drop or they will be free.
iTunes Movie rentals- This will not work for Apple. They just recently dropped movie price to 5 bucks. So if you could by a full length DVD for 5 or rent one which would you take? And if you do rent you can only watch it on iTunes on your computer unless you have Apple TV. If you buy the movie you can copy it onto a DVD and watch it on your TV.
Don't get me wrong, i love apple. I make a living off of using them, and my mom did too. I own a Macbook and the new G5 alluminum and an itouch. I just think that Apple is pushing to hard for people to buy things they can/should get for free.
