here's my reaction on it
.. I think this fisherman doing this nonsense makes them scum of the EARTH. bunch of idiots....How else to characterize the incalculable number of fish and other sea creatures scooped up in nets, allowed to suffocate, and dumped overboard as useless bycatch? Or the longline fisheries, whose miles and miles of baited hooks attract—and drown—creatures such as the loggerhead turtle and wandering albatross?
The mediterranean sounds like they could use some more coast guards.European and North American and other countries officials aren't doing much to stop the slaugther. they wanna keep letting the High Tech killing power of the new fishing technology..Of course $$$$ profits at it's best!!!!
Of course parts of the ocean will collapse if this lame activities keep on happening.... The ICCAT reported that 43 member states refuce to reduce fishing quotas..those people aren't helping much, are they?..they say cause they live by it.. well you don't NEED more than one house do you?
Looks like Francisco from (Ricardo Fuentes and son's) are getting good money.. they said: "we are more interested than anyone and that they have been supporting stricter conservation.. well of course they're Intersted more than anyone, to them all of this =$$$$$$..
I think the solution is:
1. to get some reinforcement on the fishing quotas..
2.have protected areas, just like they have some pristine protected areas..they need LOTS more of this areas...
3. Females should never be slaughter/killed or they should be the last resourt at least..
The sushi and protein demand will still increase that's Not going to change..
WHAT WE CAN DO, AND SHOULD DO,AND SHOULD OF DONE, is to think of ways of how we use our NATURAL resources and start coming out with more ways or REPRODUCTION, instead of just keep on thinking of ways to take from our NATURAL resources and that applies in WATER,ELECTRICITY,ect..everything that we use and comsume has to do with the way this world is going, so the simple answer is: we have to change our ways!!!
