Aptasia overload. NEED HELP!!!!

I have a 55gal reef tank and have been neglecting my tank for over a year now. Well, I finally have some extra funds to do an overhaul on my tank. My biggest problem is that my tank is completely full of aptasia ( I think). They look like tiny anemones and are green colored. Anyway, I have no idea how to get rid of them. I heard peppermint shrimp like these things, but quite frankly, it would take a multitude of them to zap these things. Theyare literally on every rock I have inthe tank. I have several mushrooms, polyps, a couple of soft corals a hard coral, and two damsels in the tank right now. Any help on ridding these things would be greatly appreciated.

peppermint shrimp would probably help. they can eat those things like you wouldn't belive! get a couple and chances arethey will eat it. you could also get a copperband butterfly, as they also will eat aptaisia, usually. you could try squirting them with Joe's Juice, or a kalk paste

Sounds like majano to me. Aiptasia are lighter colored, kind of clear which is why they are also called glass anemone.
Peppermint shrimp won't eat majano anemones, you are going to have to do a search for majano and see what has worked for some people. I had one that split into three and was able to kill 2 of them by injecting them with lemon juice. the third one wouldn't die and I got lucky when it moved to a small piece of rock that I could pull out of the tank and scrub it off.
