Okay!! I looked it up!! I have one in my tank and it is great. I didn't think it was bad. I like it. My opinion!! Do they need partners to reproduce? Mine is all alone. Sorry for not reading before typing.

You found info on Aptasias or dusters? Aptasias are the bane of every reefkeepers existance!!!! They are awlful. Get rid of them. They are small anemones with powerful stings, that kill their neighbors. They have amazing regenerative abilities. This means that if you don't kill every bit of him, he will come back (and probably bring his friends :) ). Thought you would like to know.

Aiptasias and curlicues are related but are not the same. One aiptasia can spread by itself through out your tank under the right conditions. Curlicues cannot they have separate males and females and both must be present to reproduce. If you got a curlicue keep it no one sells aiptasia (curlicues are sold just as anemones, no rock) but if you bought LR and it was on there its probibly aiptasia. If it's aiptasia, (witch it probibly is if you were purchasing LR) you will know soon (it will spread) you should kill it as soon as possible. Note curlicues have rings around their arms aiptasias do not.
