Can anyone tell me if the attatched photo is aptasia? I have looked at several pictures from this BB of aptasia, and most of what I see doesn't look the same as what I have. I started out with only one of these little guys, and in the past year and a half, have gone to eight of them. They seem to keep to themselves, and all are on the same rock that the one started on. I showed a picture of one to our LFS, and he told me that it was a "rock anenome". Any help would be much appreciated. Sorry about the poor quality of the picture, but still playing around with the digital camera features!

the only place I have seen them called a rock anemone is at a LFS that trys to sell them.
here is a picture of a rock or flower anemone

I think your is something different AaronW78 I have one of those in my tank and acts nithing like either of the apista or manjano here is a pic of the one in my tank its been there for a year now and hasnt reproduced or moved so I would leave yours until it seems like it is reproducing or causing problems.

I will do that ;) It moved from the mushroom rock on the bottom of the tank to a rock on the very top of the tank the 1st few days it appeared (guess it wanted more light) and hasn't moved since. I have been feeding it alittle zooplankton. Thanks for the quick respons Mike!

when I first posted pics first response on it was its apistia and NUKE it. well I didnt and its been there and a nonproblematic critter from the get go. so I dont want to nuke anthing unless its a diffenate problem.
