Aptasia?

Man, this stuff is multipling like crazy in my tank. I have tried using boiling water, boiling concentrated salt water and hydrogen peroxide(lfs recommendation). I tried by injecting straight on, in the stem and also blowing it at it's mouth. Nothing works.

I'm done buying peppermints. They usually die for some reason. I just can't keep them. I have had one trooper though but he seems to be to lazy to eat the aptasia.

Try making a paste with kalkwasser and then using a turkey baster to feed it to the aiptasia. It's like the wicked witch of the west... "I'm melting, I'm melting!" :D

Get a syringe and inect Ioding into the stalk. I have one if you need to borrow it. Elitsoh has my number. I'll be away from the computer all weekend. Kalk works good too. I have the same problem with peppermint shrimp. They may still be alive but I sure never see them.

THe last one is definately not apt. It looks like a very nice colony of zoos. If the boiling water, etc. has not worker, I would go buy some of the biggest peppermint shrimp you can find. That worked for me.

Yeah, I read about that stuff a while back but I don't think it was out just yet. I'll check the lfs this weekend and if I can't find it do a search.

yes they are practically identical, although one maybe stripier i think?
You need Lysmata Wurdemanni and not Lysmata Rathbunae. I made the mistake of getting the rathbunae who likes nothing better than to make friends with aiptasia, and not eat it!
Hope this helps,
Tim.
