aqua c remora skimmer

how long does it usually take for an aqua c remora skimmer to start working? i have amquel dechlorinator in my tank and i heard that would result in an even longer break in period.. and it's pretty loud right now.. will it get any quieter over time? would anyone recommend the drain fitting and where can it be purchased separately?
if anyone has any experience with this, please reply.

usually takes a few days to a week or so. Mine took only about 2 days to really start working.
With water conditioners, you will get lots of extra foam as the skimmer removes that.
AS for the fitting, I did a retrofit on mine. Just email AquaC and ask them how to do it. They will give you the instructions and will probably mail you the fitting at no charge (they did for me)
