Aqua dose... drip method

I am thinking of getting a aqua dose. as it was explained to me all it does is slowly drip from a 2 1/2 gal into my sump to put calcium and kh/alkalinity and i gues what ever else you want to put in it. is this worth getting or is there a better method.

There decent....great for dripping kalk.

if your going to just drip something why not get a nylon hose 1/4" and get a 1/4" plastic valve?
I DIY'd some acclimator that drip acclimates with 1/4" nylon hose

The Aqua Doser works a little nicer on certain drips.....I only say that with kalk....You want a sealed container, because the kalk exposed to air it will loose it punch.....It should be sealed.....but you are correct you can easily DIY dripper, just find a pinch roller.

i just bought it and installed it. Pretty easy to set up... but i think the calcium is sort clogging the end of the tube or building up i have to shake it off the end of the tube... since the end of the tube is submerged in the sump.. it drains perfectly fine

i didnt know that. i just have a 1.5 gallon bucket above sump to drip kalk. learn somethin new every time im on here!
