Aqua Lab V

I bought Aqua Lab V (test strips) to test my ammonia. I have done a water change (3 days ago) and also changed the sponges and activated carbon in my filter (fluval 304). After this the test still shows amonia around .25. My fish are eating and acting fine. My question is how acurate are these test strips?? It appears to be between 0 and .25. I have been feeding them a little in the morning and there regular feeding at night, so it is possible that the ammonia is high, but I am questioning the accuracy of the test.

Don't trust the strips! Go with dropper or tab tests, they may take a little longer but it is worth it. I tried Ammonia test strips with disasterous results. I was performing regular H2O changes and testing with strips. The strips constantly read 0 ammonia, so I thought I was OK. Then, one day, my Bi-colored Blenny and Surgeon were dead and my mandarin was close behind. I tested with the strips again and it read 0. I then tested with both a dropper test and a tab test and the ammonia level was 1.0!!!!!! I was able to stabilize the tank, but I will never touch a strip test again.
