I have a Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 on order which should be here any day. Its recommended from the manufactor that a Rio 2100 pump is used. My question is: Does any one else here have this Protein Skimmer and run it with a different pump with success ? I'am not a big fan of the Rio pump. I hear to many horror stories of the Rio being bad !
