Aqua One Marisys 240 pro SERIES 2

Hi all. I purchased the Aqua One Marisys 240 pro SERIES 2, im having problems with it, It seems that it withdraws water to the filter box, then stops and water returns to my tank (with a LOT of bubbles) until there is no more water left, and then it withdraws water again. I have gone over and over the instructions, pulled it apart and started again, I can't seem to find what im doing wrong. Does anyone have this filter who could help or and advice? thanks!. ive tried contacting the place i got it from but they do not know much about it,

thanks for the reply, althought im having similar problems i have another model (series 2) then the person in that post, i dont have an air pump like her model does

Different model but similar problems that everyone seems to have with those set ups.
Try lowering the overflow box as much as possible.
